Dr Phillip Kapulula is a Lecturer in Sociology of Health. He assumed the position of Deputy Dean in September 2015. Prior to becoming Deputy Dean, he was the Head of Sociology Department from February 2015.
He holds a PhD in Sociology of Health from University of the Western Cape in South Africa. He obtained his Bachelor of Social Science and Master of Arts in Sociology both from the University of Malawi. His research interests are in masculinities and gender analysis, fatherhood, reproductive health, policy analysis and environmental issues including Environmental Impact Assessments(EIAs).
